Next Stop on the Tour
I began the Pedaling for Possibilities tour by bicycle
on Tuesday, June 10, 2008 and reached Montpelier.

Here is a picture of me, Jeff Dietz, with my bike and
the Flag. The tour is focused on raising awareness and money to help children
with diabetes. I plan to reach all 48 states in the continental United
States by bicycle over the next 2-3 years and have each Governor sign
our flag to bring awareness and raise money to help children with diabetes.

Here I am in the Governor's Office with Governor Baldacci
of Maine and our diabetes youth ambassador, Hannah Ainsley, who is 13
years old.

Governor Baldacci and Hannah Ainsley find Maine on the

EDITOR'S NOTES:
Interview/Photo Opportunity - Interviews with Jeff Dietz call 302.563.9460
June 2008 - Delaware resident Jeff Dietz will be cycling across
the country to raise money and awareness for children with diabetes.
The inaugural event called Pedaling for Possibilities began June
10th in the state of Maine. The cornerstone of the campaign is the
signing of the "Yes I Can" flag by governors and diabetes youth
ambassadors in each state along the route. The flag is a symbol
of hope for children with diabetes. Governor Baldacci was the first
to sign the flag. Pedaling for Possibilities is organized by the
Camp Possibilities Foundation of Wilmington Delaware. The camp is
partnering with diabetes organizations nationally to increase visibility,
and all money raised towards the $ 35,000 goal will directly impact
children with diabetes. The first leg of the ride (June 10th- 20th
2008) will reach the state capitals of Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire,
Massachusetts and Providence Rhode Island. The annual event will
reach all fifty states by May of 2010. Camp Possibilities is an
overnight camp serving children with diabetes from Delaware, Maryland
and Pennsylvania. Since 2004, 165 children have benefited from the
camps unique approach to providing a fun, traditional summer camping
experience coupled with continuing education on diabetes and health
management skills. Donations for "Pedaling for Possibilities" can
be made online at www.pedalingforpossibilities.org or by phone at
302.563.9460. Sponsorship opportunities begin at $ 150.00.
